Help fight poverty, lack of education or sanitation, at our doorstep… less than 1hr away from Singapore
Batam, a short boat ride from Singapore, it’s a free trade zone that developped rather quickly during the 90’s attracting many factories as well as many migrants and leaving quite a few people on the side of growth and prosperity. Hence besides the beaches and many hotels and malls, Batam is also home to many orphanages - most of them offering simply the bare minimum to an often disparate group of people – from children to marginalised mums or even people with mental disabilities.
OIA helps ensuring the trip if benefitial for both the participants as well as the beneficiary. This is done by building the much needed link between the isolated groups and the well-meaning corporate groups wanting to have a meaningul getaway not far from Singapore and for a reasonable budget. OIA is especially careful in being transparant and separating the land costs (hotel, food, transfers for example), the project management fee (before, during and after the trip) and all the expenses related to the beneficiary: donation, equipment etc…
OIA will run a short briefing cum “empowerement session” with the participants to help them connect with the big picture of their company CSR/CIP initiative.
