Using Theatre and Drama in corporate learning and development is not about creating actors but about giving people skills for life and business.  Taking improvisation techniques from the theatre and applying them within a business setting allows you to explore a wide range of issues.

In this age of self-directed and elearning, we believe there is still a need for the human factor in learning. The opportunity to learn in a safe environment and practice skills with others. Whether you want to use it to explore themes such as Leadership, Impact and Personal Presence, Customer Service, Dealing with Difficult People, Presentation Skills, or other management issues, training with drama can be very effective by allowing people to experience new ways of thinking and behaving.

Not everyone takes to standing on the stage, but theatre can incorporate a lot more than that:

• Working with actors, you can create the scenario, whilst they act out the the consequences.
• Sometimes called forum theatre, but in practice more than forum theatre, we work closely with Mr Shamil Fattakhov to adapt ZiPoPo™ as a very powerful way to teach and learn: this proved to be a very popular and successful action-learning method.
• If working together as a team is like creating a performance, who creates the script and devises the story? Who creates the props, scenery, lights and costumes? Who should direct and what are the ground rules?
• Working through these metaphors - and practically putting them to use reveals to be an eye opener for many and sometimes - a game changer!
